THE PALOMA
The Paloma, known as the national cocktail of Mexico, is a refreshing mix of 100% Agave Tequila and vibrant Pink Grapefruit Soda. It takes its name from a popular Mexican folk song, ‘La Paloma’, frequently heard in cantinas across Mexico, where the cocktail was popularised, and translates literally to Dove.
PALOMA MONTH
Partnering with over 100 of the UK’s best cocktail bars in 10 cities across the UK, this Paloma month will see venues offering guests a limited-edition menu, as well as offers and prize opportunities.
Taking part will be some of the UK’s most exciting up-and-coming bartenders, with each venue curating a dedicated Paloma menu. Alongside the timeless combination, bartenders will also present their own signature twist on the serve to showcase their unique style and creative flair, with over 250 variations of the Paloma available across the country throughout May.
THREE CENTS PINK GRAPEFRUIT SODA
Three Cents Pink Grapefruit Soda is a premium mixer that was crafted for making the original Paloma. By embodying the unique aroma and flavour of pink grapefruits, Three Cents have succeeded in creating a supreme pink grapefruit soda with an intense and complex aroma that stands out in long drinks. This soda carries the drawing of a dove on its bottle, also known as Paloma.
TEQUILA OCHO
Tequila Ocho Plata showcases the purest expression of the blue Weber agave, unaged and vibrant, delivering intense, lively flavours from the highlands of Jalisco. This Single Estate Tequila is a true testament to the existence of terroir, highlighting the nuances between different fields and regions. Only three ingredients are used: agave, natural airborne yeast, and water, and made the artisanal, old-fashioned way using only overripe agaves slow-cooked in brick ovens. Ocho Plata has a viscous mouthfeel with a harmonious finish, highlighting honey sweetness, fresh herbs, crisp minerality, white pepper, and citrus notes.
